Dear Fannibals!
As you know, a big part of what keeps any TV show running on broadcast networks in the US is its ad sponsors. In the past, when fan groups worked on extensive ad sponsor campaigns, the ad sponsors lobbied the network to keep the show around. We need to line up every bit of support from NBC that we can, okay? And no purchase is necessary; just a tweet helps us.
Also, if you can tweet ad sponsors while Hannibal is on air with active global hashtags, that is worth serious money to each ad sponsor (a sponsored US tweet is $200K), so please try to help us do that on a weekly basis.
We will select a different ad sponsor every week to thank during the remainder of Hannibal Season 2. This week, please join us in thanking @Yoplait (from parent company General Mills, who also creates Progresso soup, Cheerios, Muir Glen pasta sauce, and natural food line Cascadian Farm).
Please share the attached image (see below) across all social media platforms, okay? And feel free to create a special avatar to be used on Friday -- perhaps something with Hannibal and Yoplait.
Here's the strategy:
1) Please send a thank you tweet to @Yoplait during Friday's episode.
2) Optional: If you can, please consider purchasing some Yoplait yogurt this week, and then tweet a photo or short video or Vine with your yogurt. If we get some really creative submissions, a little bird told me the producers might give out a prize!
